Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse

This is the oldest screw-pile lighthouse in Maryland. It was built in 1855 on Seven Foot Knoll in the Chesapeake Bay. Once it was replaced by modern navigational devices, it was moved to Inner Baltimore harbor and is now a museum.

I took a driving tour of East Coast lighthouses from Georgia to Maine and back. I lived most of my life at the beach and within a mile of Scituate Lighthouse in Scituate, MA.
